Live events entertainment has expanded over the past decade to encompass virtually every gender of performance that includes:

Canadian World Events

This expansion of the ultra promoters promotional marketing of the live entertainment industry is also reflected in a growth in the variety, number and caliber of performers. The growing popularity of both North American and International world talent has precipitated a shift in the economics of staging and promoting such events. The mid-capacity facility is seen as an ideal venue to achieve the concert ticket sales and ancillary revenues to stage festivals or groups of acts to "world renowned" or "head-line" performers.

The Titan project is in response

The Titan project is in response to a growing trend in North America for the development of complexes that offer ‘multi-purpose flexibility’ particularly in concert set-ups that include end and center stage, festival, and ‘intimate show’ seating. Mid-capacity complexes with a less than 10,000 person capacity are among the fastest growing segments of the industry. Increasingly performers in many entertainment categories and their fans, not to mention the crew prefer complexes with facilities and amenities tailored to meet the demands of the performance and backstage operations in Calgary, The Titan will be located in the inner city district or north of the City in proximity to major automobile and public transportation corridors and other complementary private and municipal facilities.

Welcome to Save Our World

Save-Our-World - UK - Home: "Welcome to Save Our World
Save our World acts to help protect and sustain the natural world through increasing awareness and caring for human beings and all other species, as well as inspiring and empowering people to change attitudes, habits and lifestyles - personally, locally, nationally, globally and spiritually.
The save-our-world.net version of our site is now distinguished by having specific pages devoted to global issues, leaving this one, the save-our-world.org.uk version, to concentrate upon local and UK-relevant matters. 'USA Petition' is only on the other site but can also be reached via the animated banner from this one.

See new Boiling Point on 'Environmental Impact' and report of a very successful Climate Change event on the eve of President Bush's visit to the UK. Both sites have also been reorganised, with a new Archive page created for Back Issues of Boiling Point and memorable past activities.
You will find out our origins, what we stand for, our values and how to contact us by clicking on About Us. You can also join Save our World there. Through Links you can find our kindred spirits as well as our own Save our World news Yahoo Group - where all our letters and articles for publication, on national and global matters, are listed from August 1999 - now totalling around 140. Boiling Point contains our main editorial comment on the state of the envvironment and what we can do about it. Archive contains previous Boiling Points, a report of our Save our World Festival in 2000, and a section on World Summit 2002.
Our 'Challenge' page has developed out of an exchange of personal letters with the then UK Environment Minister, Michael Meacher, about a challenge for the Prime Minister, Tony Blair, to set before all the countries of the world at the World Summit on Sustain"

David Weinberger

How to Save the World: "In his recent article in Salon, David Weinberger responds to suggestions that the blogosphere is an echo chamber: Cliques of like minds parroting each other and nodding virtually, cementing their unenlightened perpectives and ignoring different points of view. David makes two important points:

Don't bring your toys to this dogpark!

A conversation is a social group, and social groups serve many social functions. Some are debating groups. Some are places for people to show how clever they are. Some aim at political change. Very few aim at changing minds about the founding agreement, if only because it's so hard to pull up the planks of conversation as we walk on them. The comment blog of a presidential candidate is not about changing minds, any more than is the Red Sox rooting section. It's about forming a political movement. It binds supporters socially. It keeps their enthusiasm up. It lets them collectively work out interpretations and feelings within a group of people they trust precisely because of their shared agreement. Likewise for the right-wing sites. Likewise even for extraterrestrial-conspiracy mailing lists.

If you want to see a real echo chamber, open up your daily newspaper or turn on your TV. There you'll find a narrow, self-reinforcing set of views. The fact that these media explicitly present themselves as a forum for objective truth, open to all ideas, makes them far more pernicious than some site designed to let people examine the 8,000 ways Hillary is a bitch or to let fans rage about how much better Spike was on 'Buffy' than he'll ever be on 'Angel.' And if you want to see the apotheosis of the echo chamber -- the echo echoing itself so perfectly that it comes perilously close to achieving the 60-cycle om of the empty mind -- consider a president who, rather than read the newspaper, is happy to have his aides pick and choose what headlines he learns mor"

GLOBAL WARMING AND THE CRIME OF DENIAL

I have very limited patience with those who deny human responsibility for upper-atmosphere pollution and ozone depletion, or deny their impact on the geothermal dynamics of our planet, or the potentially disastrous consequences of the resultant climate instability on Earth's ecosystems. To me there is no intellectual difference between the Lomborgians who steadfastly refuse to accept the overwhelming evidence of human-caused global warming from scientists of unquestioned reputation, and the neo-Nazi holocaust denyers of Ernst Zundel's ilk. Unfortunately, the Lomborgians are heavily financed in their campaign of misinformation by Big Oil and other corporate oligopolies, who bear a disproportionate responsibility for global warming. Sooner or later they will, like Big Tobacco, be called to account financially and criminally for their negligent actions and fraudulent misrepresentations. In the meantime it has been expedient for George Bush, who received a huge proportion of his campaign moneys from these liars, to reward their thinly-disguised bribes by undoing almost all of the US environmental regulations and enforcement instituted by previous governments to try to limit atmospheric damage, and to exercise political muscle to prevent the ratification of the Kyoto Accord. By the time these regulatory reversals and"
